Twitter Updates for 2007-12-31

  • Just caught up on 12+ pages of twitters. I might have to stop following some of you people. Don't you ever shut up? ;) #
  • And that only included some of the 18 pages that I had to catch up on after we returned from traveling for 6 days... #
  • @rands re: todo systems -- have you seen ViaList? Windows client is smart/intuitive, and there's web access, too. http://www.vialist.com/ #
  • @rands Of course, I can also recommend Tasks, which my employer produces. But @gfmorris already told you that. #
  • I think I'll shut down this laptop now, and go play with the Nintendo DS that I got for Christmas... #
  • Thinking about dinner and a movie. Dinner: steaks at Longhorn. Movie: National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Kids: None. Sweet :) #

Notcot

The Notcot group of sites, like NOTCOT.ORG, display information in an interesting way. Very compelling and well done. Not new, but new to me.

Airport Security Follies

The Airport Security Follies. “And rather than rethink our policies, the best we’ve come up with is a way to skirt them — for a fee, naturally — via schemes like Registered Traveler.”

Twitter Updates for 2007-12-27

  • Got back from our three-state holiday swarm last night. "Just remember: they come, they eat, they leave!" -- A Bug's Life #
  • Finished clearing out the 500+ spams that made it past my filters earlier. Now I can start replying. Catching up from a holiday is painful. #

Feeds in Search Results

WordPress produces a bajillion different feeds for every post, category, search, basically anything you can imagine. For a long time now some of these have shown up in search results next to regular pages, which I imagine was very confusing for people clicking from a search result to a bunch of XML. No longer! From the Webmaster blog: Taking feeds out of our web search results.
